It should be very simple for the professor to use wePapers to find cheaters. As long as the mechanism in place to identify the original author is reliable.

It is definitely a good website for those who need to research on that particular subject. Plagiarizing is absolutely of the concerns of most people. Probably having a notification on the administrator site on what items are being downloaded for future investigation if plagiarizing occurs.

As to answering the title of the article. I believed its both for different people.However, to me, I affirmed that its expanding knowledge! For people like us, to expand our knowledge,we definitely find it beneficial. I believe it doesn't appeal to lecturers as they might have a hard time identifying if the work is a plagiarized work or not.

Are they only of essays form or they are on question and answers type? How can I prove the credential of it?As in whether the doctoral these are the facts or not?I am afraid of reading up articles that are actually falsely claimed.

To address the issue of plagiarism, perhaps there should be user acceptance clause to make the user to declare the ownership. This might work as deterrent.

As a former writing center tutor, I think this site is a great idea. I will admit freely that it will be abused. Students who just don't care about their education (alas, a seemingly robust group) will certainly try to use the site to cheat. Wily professors should probably stop them in their tracks by simply failing any who do try, failing them for the course and reporting them to university administrators so they can be expelled. All that said, however, when there are serious students who want to bridge the distance gap to study and share ideas with like-minded students around the globe, this site helps them do just that. Kudos!

There are always pros and cons in a web 2.0 app. These are some factors that are often beyond the control of developers, however it is still the responsibility of the site to ensure these factors do not directly affect certain organisations or insituitions.
