I renamed iTweetr to Hahlo to avoid a naming conflict with another Twitter app. Hahlo was launched the same day as the iPhone and is now open to everyone.
In case it doesn't get updated here is the correct link for everyone.
Just wanted to comment on IPling. It very well might be a coincidence but I just saw the pitch for that exact product on American Inventor the other night. He was trying to also build a proprietary hardware system for his product and I was like that'll never work. Using the iPhone makes a ton of sense.

iPhone don't let you install application, but neither Java games and a lot of other staff. Before to buy it you could be interested in learn all of its limitations I think...
Note: I am not a user of tada lists nor an iphone owner.
Although, I am a user of 37signals other products, and I bet this implementation is excellent.

Well - these are all some snazzy little apps but practically useless with slow as molasses Edge. Not to mention that they're coverage is really spotty here (SoCal.)
Even after the woefully slow (3 days) and tortuous (5 hrs on total hold time) activation process - I've been completely underwhelmed by the lack of standard features for a $600 smartphone. Pretty it is. Including Pretty useless for real world applications.
I decided to quit while I was behind and send it back where it came from.
To add insult to injury - I had to pay $60 restock fee and am dreading the prospect of waiting on hold for who knows how long to cancel my service plan.
The first search engine for iPhone related applications and the one with the largest database of applications (50% more than second largest list).
Developers can add the links of their own applications to the engine.

Please have a look at my brand new iRed 2 (http://www.filewell.com/iRed2. It's currently a preview, but it has great potential. It allows you to control your Mac from your iPhone! This includes iTunes, Keynote, PowerPoint, ... and everything else you can control with AppleScript.
It's really encouraging to see so many apps spring up for the iPhone. The way I see it, the iPhone is indeed revolutionary. But for reasons other than those relating to the phone itself. Apple's introducing to the masses and inspiring widespread adoption of web applications -- they prescribed Ajax, and suddenly hobby-developers like myself are looking into that 'Web 2.0' approach -- is only the start to people actually thinking, "Hey, maybe it isn't a bad idea to have my regular apps online".
Apple recently posted developer documentation for optimizing web apps, which lays out how to best design for the device. But the problem for most of these apps is storage, which isn't open for apps to use. Is there a solution? Not yet, but if the Safari that iPhone comes to support Google Gears -- a new (possibly perpetual) beta browser extension currently only for Firefox, that provides Javascript APIs to store data resources locally and even provide a relational database -- we might have a shot at more powerful iPhone apps.
Given the restraints, though, it's amazing what developers have done for the iPhone. Wow! *looks at list* The iPhonify Google Reader is absolutely awesome (in UI too), and iPhoneChat also looked real smooth for what it promises to do (even currently only for 10 minutes/session). And CheapMF allows me to do something I would personally *love* when I'm shopping. (Of course, no WiFi in supermarkets here, but the potential is there).
The iPhone and these amazing (and quick!) developers are stirring buzz again. We're in good times! ;)

Have you ever tried to use your iPhone to look for things on the net, like movies on IMDb when you're at the video store, or prices on Amazon when you're at the mall, or just junk on craigslist and articles on Wikipedia?... It's been just a week since the phone was released but I grew tired of always waiting for the same pages to load and zoom the tiny editable fields in order to enter what I'm looking for. So here it is: iPhoneQuickSearch consolidates all the main search engines into a single page - Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, Webster, Amazon, eBay, craigslist, MarketWatch, Flickr, IMDb, del.icio.us and Technorati.
The page adapts its layout to the orientation of the screen. Scrolling down, a small preferences panel allows you to define a default search engine which can be activated directly from the iPhone virtual keyboard, while the other search engines remain just one tap away.

It also uses GeoIP mapping to return geographical information (eg, Ithaca, NY) -- click on the location to see it in iPhone's Google Maps browser!

I was disappointed with the iPhone's feed reader and found Google Reader's font way too small to read on the iPhone's screen, so I wrote my own feed parsing tool specifically for use on the iPhone. It tries to format feed text & images to make them readable without needing to zoom. Check it out at http://www.530pm.com/iPhone There are some example links on the homepage. There's a really cool application called DOT.TUNES that allows you to access your entire iTunes library remotely from your iPhone. I'm not aware of any application for the iPhone that even comes close. I've been rocking it on my iPhone for the past few days, and I've got to admit, it rocks.
DOT.TUNES is free, but the iPhone interface costs $20. It's well worth it.

Iphone eBay app users BEWAEW ... the app doesn’t log you off when you quit. It keeps you logged on even if you quit and shut the phone down. Seems like a security flaw to me … one that the Web site deals with by automatically logging you off when you quit. For obvious reasons, this is a *real* problem when your dealing with *mobile* phones!
There may be another problem as well. eBay automatically reset my password because they noticed that my acct had been “compromised.” When I pressed them on what the nature of the compromise was (something *I* did? something *they* did?) they said they could not say … it’s just an automatic “thing” that “happens.” They *did* confirm that this could have happened if I remain logged in for an extended period (more than a day?). This is *very* easy to do with the Iphone app.

I found a cool web app called Mobicue the other day when I was surfing online. It lets you upload photos, videos, audio recordings, and text updates directly from your iPhone from any location with internet access. It works really well on the iPhone, so I'm surprised it didn't make this list.

Personally I prefer the iShopping application by MANGO. It seems to be more robust then some of the other shopping programs. Not only can you make lists and check off items as they are purchased but you can record best prices and create favorites lists for specific stores.
My favorite feature is the ability to manually add items if they are not in the database. That way when the christmas shopping list looks like plush cuthulu, cheese corn, gecko pin and cunning hat you have no worries.

Deep Pocket Series, a firm best known for its medical software, now offers an iPhone/iPodTouch application to cure bad handwriting.
That app, Better Letters, launched on November 10, 2009 -- eight days later, it featured in the December 2009 issue of GQ magazine (page 128: sidebar in lower right corner on cyber-age resources for handwriting improvement).

Even after the woefully slow (3 days) and tortuous (5 hrs on total hold time) activation process - I've been completely underwhelmed by the lack of standard features for a $600 smartphone. Pretty it is. Including Pretty useless for real world applications.
I decided to quit while I was behind and send it back where it came from.
To add insult to injury - I had to pay $60 restock fee and am dreading the prospect of waiting on hold for who knows how long to cancel my service plan.

Of course, Apple isn't the first to embrace web apps. Far from it. Google, perhaps, is the real pioneer -- with , Suggest and -- that sparked the (as, of course, an approach that involved asynchronous data retrieval using Javascript and XHtttpRequest, presented using XHTML and CSS). But Google appealed mostly to Google fans and those who already had a considerable inclination to their services. With iPhone -- 700,000 sold in the first week of launch -- everyone will inevitably use online apps. Hopefully over WiFi.
Apple recently posted developer documentation for optimizing web apps, which lays out how to best design for the device. But the problem for most of these apps is storage, which isn't open for apps to use. Is there a solution? Not yet, but if the Safari that iPhone comes to support Google Gears -- a new (possibly perpetual) beta browser extension currently only for Firefox, that provides Javascript APIs to store data resources locally and even provide a relational database -- we might have a shot at more powerful iPhone apps.
Given the restraints, though, it's amazing what developers have done for the iPhone. Wow! *looks at list* The iPhonify Google Reader is absolutely awesome (in UI too), and iPhoneChat also looked real smooth for what it promises to do (even currently only for 10 minutes/session). And CheapMF allows me to do something I would personally *love* when I'm shopping. (Of course, no WiFi in supermarkets here, but the potential is there).
The iPhone and these amazing (and quick!) developers are stirring buzz again. We're in good times! ;)

It's been just a week since the phone was released but I grew tired of always waiting for the same pages to load and zoom the tiny editable fields in order to enter what I'm looking for. So here it is: iPhoneQuickSearch consolidates all the main search engines into a single page - Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, Webster, Amazon, eBay, craigslist, MarketWatch, Flickr, IMDb, del.icio.us and Technorati.

Can someone please help me out? I have a question about the tuner app on iphone. How the hell do I use the open option to stream a radoi station? There is a radio station here in boston called waaf 107.3. How do I get the url to enter in the open option?
There may be another problem as well. eBay automatically reset my password because they noticed that my acct had been “compromised.” When I pressed them on what the nature of the compromise was (something *I* did? something *they* did?) they said they could not say … it’s just an automatic “thing” that “happens.” They *did* confirm that this could have happened if I remain logged in for an extended period (more than a day?). This is *very* easy to do with the Iphone app.

Deep Pocket Series, a firm best known for its medical software, now offers an iPhone/iPodTouch application to cure bad handwriting.
That app, Better Letters, launched on November 10, 2009 -- eight days later, it featured in the December 2009 issue of GQ magazine (page 128: sidebar in lower right corner on cyber-age resources for handwriting improvement).
Better Letters is the brainchild of two people who care about the proliferation of bad handwriting in our high-tech times: Deep Pocket Series founder Harvey Castro, MD (an emergency medicine physician) and Kate Gladstone, a handwriting improvement specialist known internationally as the "Handwriting Repairwoman." For $2.99, Better Letters provides instructional lectures (both audio and written) along with practice fonts which offer a choice of writing style, guidelines, and directional arrows -- turning the iPhone or iPodTouch into a personal handwriting trainer.
Unlike other handwriting apps, BetterLetters takes users beyond mere copying of onscreen worksheets. Over and above providing sample letters and numerals to trace and copy, the BetterLetters application also includes features such as user-selectable "ink" color, a list of 299 suggested practice words (chosen to include every letter combination in the English language), onscreen instructional essays and audio composed and recorded by handwriting specialist Gladstone, a built-in sketchpad for independent practice and application of handwriting skills, and several screenfuls of active links to handwriting instruction web-sites selected by Gladstone to provide further resources for the study and practice of rapid, readable handwriting.
Why think about handwriting in the computer age?
• Even in the most highly computerized workplaces, computer networks crash or electric power fails. Even when computers and power sources function, physicians and other professionals must often must scribble quick notes, or perform other handwriting tasks. For example, a physician in a computerized hospital will often still need to give ward clerks the day's handwritten records to read and process.
• Children, teens, and young adults face high-stakes exams, whose written sections increasingly include timed handwritten essays. (Since 2003, the SAT exam given to USA high school students has included a timed handwritten essay which provides about 1/6 of the total SAT score. When schools neglect handwriting instruction or use counterproductive instructional methods, BetterLetters allows students to gain and maintain competent handwriting.)
• Parents and teachers – at every level from kindergarten through graduate school -- often need to improve the legibility and speed of their own handwriting in order to teach more effectively. (A teacher's handwriting, if it lacks precision and speed, can derail even the best-planned lesson or demonstration at the board.)
