The thing about this list was that I started off with a goal of 33, went and found as many as I could only to realise that there were way too many general ones. I had to cut quite a few down to equal them off -- and they're still not equal!
So I would edit the list and add LibraryThing, The Black Stripe (this one truly slipped of my mind), MyFreeImplants, Doostang, Virb, and possibly tens of others if I could, but then again it wouldn't be '33 places to hangout....' would it ;-)
How right you are, but then again the teens of today won't remain teens forever ;-)
I think people 35+ tend to use social networks for very different reasons and tend to split out in their own niches (someone might be a work-o-holic and love LinkedIn while another might be a mom and use MommyBuzz). In the end I think there would be no use for something like MySpace for the middle-aged since they're not dating, they've already socialized all their lives, and they don't listen to hard-core punk-rock music. ;-)

It is my favorite - it only launched in May - at least thats when I first heard about it. It's like myspace for moms - with a gated community feel. Great site for moms by moms!!!
There are so many dating sites for singles to meet each other, so why not have a couples matching site, to bring together committed couples who share similar interests in Canada and while travelling. Not a swinger community.
In a safe environment, couples can chat online, email, IM and post on different couple topics and events in the forum, etc. All members can have their own social network and blog. i found this one by accident and joined there to have a look.
It had everything that i wanted in a friendship network. i was able to make my layout the way i wanted to, i was able to upload my own music and not have to hunt for it.
Everything there seem to be perfect.
But they seem to have a myspace sickness, they like to delete people and their networks for no
senceable reason. They just say the owner has taken it off line. Which in my case was not true.
