  • They require too much personal info for it to be handled online. I mean I know the whole purpose of the thing is to "be aware of your bills", which I think no one would like to be reminded of when they finally finish stressing about them and have free time to get on the internet, but those things are just too touchy. Also If the website becomes popular it will become a shopping market for hackers, and I don't think it matters how many hacker proof labels are on it.
  • Erm ... its not a .com ... it's a .org ...
  • Thank you phalacee! That has been fixed.
  • Sherry - excellent point. Until recently I have felt that way about a lot of "shared" technology out there. But until recently my only contact with the outside world was limited. I find myself amazed out how just a 12 hour timezone between me and the editor of this blog can change things. I can see the need for such a bill share program in that context.

But still, this is no PassPack we're talking about here, the security doesn't seem adequate for the kind of information they are asking you to store.
  • I developed a similar one that does a great job reducing the number of money/check transactions. http://www.screeperzone.com/expensesharer . NO PERSONAL INFORMATION NEEDED, no login/password/signup. You can export your data and share it using Google docs. give it a try.
